Speak Now World Tour - Singapore

It was really magical and it felt so surreal. Finally, after 2 months of purchasing the tickets to this show, I saw Taylor Swift in front of me.

With 2 DSLRs, 1 camcorder and 2 back-up digital cameras, Mel, Jon and I were fully equipped and amped up for the concert! And we had no idea that we would be so freaking close!

Sezairi was the opening act and I think he did quite a great job in pumping up the crowd. But of course, everyone was waiting for the star of the night, Taylor Swift!!

Took some decent videos of her performances, while Jon and Mel took really nice pictures too! Will post the pics here when I get 'em! But for now, videos!~

Did not take vids of all the songs though. I needed to have fun jumping for a few songs or I wouldn't have been able to enjoy myself as much!

And for those who want to know what songs she played, or want to recap, here it is. The setlist for tour dates in U.S. will be different though, from what I heard.

Technically she only played 13 songs though. You're Not Sorry was a medley along with Back to December/Apologize. Not hard to understand why it is THIRTEEN. She really loves that number, eh?

Yup and that's Mel showing off her '13' tattoo that she drew! And yes lol we were Vlogging while waiting for Taylor but I suppose it will be wiser not to post it. It is kind of embarrassing.

When the opening title played after Willow Smith's Whip My Hair blasted through the speakers, everyone (around my area, at least), was brought up to their feet to catch their first glimpse of the four time Grammy award winner.

The introduction of Sparks Fly come on and with the words, "DROP EVERYTHING NOW", the curtain separating the gorgeous girl and us came down. She danced throughout the whole song, complete with bimbotic twisting of her hips. The whole stadium's level of excitement rose to a whole new level and after the performance of that song, she immediately transited into her first single from her Speak Now album, Mine.

She picked her red Gibson guitar which was so pretty!

Did not record this song (I should have) but I spent most of the time jumping to the song, especially the chorus and just singing at the top of my voice. Who cares about face at concerts?! "YOU ARE THE BEST THING THAT'S EVER BEEN MINE!"

The next song was The Story Of Us! Wasn't familiar with the lyrics but at least I could sing along to the chorus!

Next came my favourite song from her - Back to December. I was already bracing myself for a really touching performance when I saw a piano. As expected she started playing on the piano but she had some narration at the beginning.

"I've written songs about things like, burning my ex-boyfriends' pictures,
I've written songs about the times that I've been hurt by love,
But then one day I woke up and realised that have hurt him so badly.
And so I wrote this song,
To tell him I'm sorry.."

*cue piano intro* and the whole stadium sings along with her, and feel her emotions as she starts tearing up, and it brought tears to mine, too. She then remixed it with Apologize and You're Not Sorry and it sounded so much better than the one she did during the American Music Awards.

That one was for you, Taylor Lautner.

And after that ballad, it was something louder; Better Than Revenge, the song that Mel was looking forward to the most. I loved the 'chereography' hahaha. Went for a costume change and she emerged in a really cute blue dress with a choreographed Speak Now. She reminded me of a milkmaid though, lol.

And she did something that drove everyone mad: she walked through the crowd, to the back of the stadium where there was a mini stage, where she introduced her ukulele and played a Fearless/I'm Yours mash-up, which of course got the whole stadium singing happily along. She sang Fifteen next! Was really enjoying the very laid-back tunes.

And when her hit, You Belong With Me played, it was time for her to go back to the main stage, which I was really happy about! There was even one part of the song where she asked us to sing while she kept quiet! Hearing the whole stadium sing in unison was just so awesome! The footage on the giant screen was really cute. It showed shots from the music video and also some behind the scenes!

There was another costume and this time she was wearing a gown which made her look so elegant and it was so relevant to sing Enchanted at that time.

So beautiful! Indeed enchanted to see her like that! Fans raised their huge fanboards once again (I feel sorry for the people behind them).

Long Live was dedicated to the fans. And yes, Taylor, you will definitely be remembered.

And of course, quite expectedly, she ended off with Fearless's lead single, Love Story. Looked like everyone still had a lot of energy left. After all, it was just a 90 minute concert. Not long enough to tire me out. I really loved how she just fell back after she bade farewell to us!

And that, was not the end of the wonderful night, for I got a little souvenir from the concert! Shan't elaborate on how I got it so TAADAA!~

This is definitely better than any of the tour merchandise being sold there (SGD$45 for one shirt omg what a scam) and that's yet another pick to my growing collection! ^^

Wanted to stalk her but looking at the number of people waiting for her outside the stadium, we kind of just gave up after a while of running everywhere. It was fun though!

This was definitely worth my whole $178 although it could have been longer! And it would have been perfect if she had sung Today Was A Fairytale, Our Song, Teardrops on My Guitar, White Horse and The Way I Loved You. But okay it is called the Speak Now Tour so I guess it is perfectly justified that most of the songs were from her new album.

Would like to thank Brenda for her camcorder, SL for his DSLR, Jon and Mel for the wonderful night, Stef's aunt for ferrying me around and Stef's mum for dinner. LOL I'm just stating this in case SL says that I didn't thank him.

Thank you to Taylor for the amazing performance. It was a near perfect concert and I feel really honoured to have been to this concert, which was the first stop for her Speak Now World Tour! Thank you to Taylor's band as well -Amos, Paul, Grant (OMG I love him hehehe), Al, Caitlin, Elizabeth and Mike!

Yup! So that is it for Taylor Swift's first stop for her tour! Will post most pictures soon!

Dream High.

Dream High has got to be one of the nicest idol dramas I've watched!
I won't even talk about the really handsome male leads and the pretty female leads!

And I really love IU even more after watching the drama. She's just so adorable inside!

I SHIP WOO-U COUPLE SO HARD!

Too cute too cute too cute!

Oh by the way, Taylor Swift's concert is in about 19 hours time! Absolutely can't wait! She was at Chinatown in the afternoon today what was I doing in school?! Her parents, band members and of course, herself, are all so nice! Hope I can catch her after the concert :) Gonna bring my Taylor CDs along!

Will have fun! Cya guys again when I blog about the concert!

Money Can't Buy Everything. Bullshit.

This is a couple of days overdue but heck.

Before I continue, you guys must know that I'm neither a Liverpool or Chelsea fan. I'm a Man Utd and Real Madrid supporter.

Fernando Jose Torres Sanz, I am really disappointed in you.

You left Liverpool just when they most needed the support. You made the fans lose faith in you and congrats you have earned yourself a whole bunch of haters who were initially supporters of you. You broke the bond you had with them and I lost my respect for you.

"Chelsea are the kind of team I want to play for...They are one of the biggest teams in Europe and are always fighting for everything. The target for every footballer is to play in one of the top-level clubs in the world and I can do it now." Ouch.

When you left, you didn't even thank the club that you have been in for 42 months. Not a hint of gratitude, not a hint of remorse to the rest of the players and the fans. So much for loyalty. So what if Liverpool finished at seventh position last season? Just when things started to look up when Kenny Dalglish came back, you had to spoil everything.

Seriously of all times, of all clubs, you had to go to Chelsea at this time. If you have gone to some Spanish club which plays classier football I wouldn't have minded at all.

'Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel hopes Fernando Torres will live to regret his switch to Chelsea.'
Karma will bite you in the ass, Torres. With your debut match with Chelsea being against Liverpool, I really wish that Liverpool wins and that you'll be humbled by the club that you once belonged to and felt you were too good for.

Looks like the only time now I will support you is when you play for Spain. But I'll never see you in the same light again.

Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, all the best to the both of you. No doubt Torres will be missed at Anfield, but I'm sure that the both of you will be able to pull it off.

"His armband proved that he was a Red". Bullshit.

Om nom nom

Back at home after 20mins in school after finishing Radio skills test. What is life. It was kinda easy and Mr Guo didn't even bother to mess up the controls for me LOL.

Chomp*2 and Dessert Bowl with Stef, Rach, Jon, Keith and SL yesterday was really awesome. What is better than having fun and stuffing yourself with food, surrounded with the most precious people evar! I love food. I really do.

Fatness overload!

Durian mousse! WOOHOO!

Chiobuuuuuuu

The only successful group pic

Stef's really proud of this!

Really nice to be able to chill after two long weeks. Ba Chor Mee at Block 85 on Tuesday! Can't wait!

Sigh, gotta prep myself for yet another hectic week ahead! CCC and MTV Broadcast and I've not started on my script. Oh well, at least on Tuesday, I can have two burdens lifted off my chest. Honestly can't wait!

Contemplating if I should cut my hair to this length:

Hahaha what is this ancient shit?! But seriously it was much easier to manage. But I probably won't cut. Lol.
Need to get contacts pronto too! Okay I'm starting to sound really vain. Heh.

Currently watching a Korean drama called Dream High and it has IU inside (the only reason why I started watching) and she is beyond cute inside. I love her so much!!

Shall continue soon. But till then, have a great weekend everyone! TGIF! :)

Haru Haru

Day by day, the same thoughts run through my mind.
Day by day, I ask myself if what I do is enough.
Day by day, I yearn for attention and recognition.
Day by day, I wonder if those around me care.
Day by day, I dream.

Ignore me.

Anyway..

This is honestly one of the most amazing live performances ever. G-Dragon, you are a genius.

This too. I'd never thought that Taylor Swift could touch me so deeply.

A Message to Paul DiGiovanni

HAPPY 23RD BIRTHDAY PAUL DIGIOVANNI.

"You are 23 and invincible
Had the world figured out and a bird on your shoulder
Saying everything's gonna be alright
And everything's gonna be alright"

The first time I saw you was about a year ago, 28th Jan. It was so surreal and I really wished I could have been in the first row just in front of the stage.

Somehow, in my impression, you have always seemed much older than me. Probably because of K-Pop where the younger are all really really really young. It just dawned on me that you are just 4 years older than me.

I'm really thankful that Boys Like Girls got into my life. My life was complete when I met you, Martin, Bryan and John. BLG's music never fails to get me through my depressing spells.

Since it is your 23rd birthday, here are 23 things I love about you:

You have an amazing smile which makes me smile too.
You have awesome hair.
You are really tall.
You look really cool on motorcycles.
You are an awesome guitarist and it inspires me greatly.
Your tweets are interesting and they make my day.
You have an awesome sense of humour.
You have an amazing harmonizing voice although you hate it.
You make the effort to connect with your fans.
You work hard to improve.
You are really loving.
You are overflowing with charisma.
You are doing what you love, and you excel in it.
You have fun.
You can go really crazy and do not care how others think.
You remain modest and humble and do not get arrogant even with the band's success.
You are genuine.
You are really young, the baby of the band.
You think maturely for your age.
You threw your guitar pick and I caught it.
You and the rest of BLG are really close.
You love your fans.
You are everything that makes Paul, Paul.

I wanted to contribute to this video but I didn't have time at all. :(
But awesome job to fuckyeahpauldigiovanni for compiling everything together.

#happybirthdaypoolie. I love you, Paul DiGiovanni! ♥

Friends

Best friends are like two people in a relationship, except without the physical attraction.

Thanks to all the wonderful people around me who are always there, you let me know that you cared.
Thanks to all the fucked up people around me, you made me go through and experience life the hard way.
Thanks to all the awesome people who complimented me, you made my self-esteem grow.
Thanks to those who left, you showed me that nothing lasts forever.
Thanks to those who stayed, you showed me the meaning of true friends.
Thanks to those who entered my life, you made me who I am today.

Fucking love my friends.

But sometimes, I can't help but feel insecure about certain things that are going on. I feel so confused. I feel like I don't belong. I feel like I should just back out.

I get jealous and envious really easily. Probably that's why I am feeling like that. And mind you I'm really sober and awake now at 9 in the morning.

Hahahaha okay don't mind me I'm just being random.

Meanwhile. A song. Love in the Ice was the song that made me know about DBSK. I love it. And take a listen to this orchestral arrangement! Epic shit.

I've been looking for you

Spent the whole of today during Radio Assignment 3 and boy am I glad that I finished it. I swear this is the longest time I have ever taken to do an audio production. But seriously? The 4min10sec production that I produced is sleep-inducing. Ugh I can't even listen to the whole thing without feeling absolutely bored. I hope it is enough for me to get at least a B though. Have been getting so many Cs it is starting to get slightly depressing. On another note, thank you so freaking much Stef for lending your MacBook to me! Love you my lil kou rou bao! <3

Rach and Keith came over to do radio as well and of course we got distracted. What do you expect when there are two Macbooks around? Picture spam coming up. Photobooth completes our lives.

Love this pic!

So glad that I had them as company. Never get bored with my happy people. Spazzing with Rach is always relevant.

Tomorrow's schedule for me is fully packed. Going to Stef's place in the morning to return her Macbook (awww I will miss it), gonna meet Vanessa in the afternoon for Hebe's autograph session! So stoked to be able to see her again! For the fourth time I think lol. After all that fun and getting starstruck I will be back at home writing my journal for The Joy Luck Club. Movie's alright but it could be more fast-paced. I was falling asleep omg. But honestly I have no idea what to write. Sigh time to take out notes.

Gonna crash now! Take care guys. Monday is coming again so let's prep ourselves for yet another hopefully less busy week! Saranghae!~
