Love! To Hebe

Currently listening this. This is totally perfect for a Saturday afternoon when I just wanna chill. This disc is the full performance from one of her showcases. I can't say how perfect it is.
She sang English songs (including I Kissed A Girl and You're Beautiful) too and although her diction and slang is still kinda weird, they are still really really listenable. I just can't get enough of her voice.

I can imagine her showcase which will be held in Singapore on the 15th of Jan as a very laid-back performance; not a performance to get high to, unless she suddenly sings a rock song, like the first track of this CD.

Her style is very acoustic, jazzy, and blues-y. Not something that I will usually listen to, but because it is Hebe, I don't mind. :)

She's pretty, has a great voice, talented and beneath that cold exterior is a spunky, fun-loving personality. Hebe Tian, Y U SO PERFECT?

I really want to go for her showcase but it is $141 inclusive of Sistic charge - the same amount I paid for S.H.E's full scale concert in Singapore in April early this year. I know I will earn money during internship which is probably enough to cover my concert expenses for next year though..
Dilemma...

What Do You Do

What do you do when life fucks you up so hard?

I sit in front of my computer hugging my teddy bear.

How about you?

Birthday Update!

Yup, so at 12am, I received a text, a tweet and a Facebook wish from Vanessa. Haha epic win! Thanks for meeting me to pass me my present (as well as reminding my mum that it was my birthday the next day -.-)

It's a french horn ring. Kinda heavy, but I'll live.

Anyway, there were many firsts for this year. I got my first birthday webcam from Rach, which was really cute hehe. Thank you for rushing home from helping your mum and forsaking your dinner lol. It was really cool. :)

I got my first birthday call from Stef. I heard some really unclear thing but I knew it was in the tune of Happy Birthday. :X LOL. I honestly did not know how to react! So pardon my less than enthusiastic responses lol. It was kinda unexpected hahaha I just kinda got stunned there. Love you lots!

Yup and time passed till 4plus am with me doing CCC reflection. Oh joy.

Anyway I was supposed to meet my Poly peepz at Potong Pasir but there was only Rach and Stef (turns out the rest were following too -.-). Anyway I was blindfolded and was brought to a freaking jamming studio. It was really neat hehehehe. Haha I totally went mad playing drums I think, but shit I had so much fun. So after about 3 hours of abusing it (Stef, Mel and Jean helped too), my drumsticks turned from this

to this.

Quite sad, don't you think? But somehow I like it this way. Looks rugged. I think I busted almost everyone's ears :X And even with the numerous complaints and threats to kill me if I didn't soften down, this unbelievably happened:

WHAT THE SHIT. She fell asleep. Seriously what the heck.

Anyway, I got my presents after jamming. I wasn't expecting that I'd get a bag and a teddy bear (yup that was one of things I didn't find out cuz I was spoiling my own surprises)

The Maine's Black and White album, a red bag (which is in the first pic) and the teddy bear! The bear(s) had a meaning to it and according to Rach, the big bear are my bunch of Poly friends, and the small bear is me, so meaning that they will always be holding me. Stef's meaning was for the bear to cheer me up whenever I emo. Well, same difference, and either way it is really sweet. :B

Then it was dinner at Marche which was really satisfying hehe. Chicken, chicken, cake. Wahaha. There was a video which was more funny then touching hahaha. But really I didn't expect a video like that and I know how awkward it is for some of you to talk to a camera. Loved Brenda's part. BRENDA Y U SO CUTE?! Anywayz, there was really awesome cake and un-awesome pictures of me cutting the cake cuz I was gracing the camera with my ultra-unglamness. :)
Yup, and so, at the end we chilled and that was the end. I didn't want it to end to be honest. Highlight of the day for me was when Stef said a particular sentence which totally tainted her pure image.

The only decent pic of me all day.

Nope I wasn't drunk.

Miss B!! (Stef's the lead dancer, Brenda's the leader, I'm the lead singer/rapper)

I like this pic idk why. :)

My co-host! :)

I have no flaming idea why the orientation of this photo is like that.

Thank you Rachy. Seriously. I can't thank you enough.

From the bottom of my heart, you guys are the best friends anyone could wish for, and mind you it is not only because of what happened during my birthday. You guys have and will always continue being my pillar of strength. What I love so much about all of you is that you will accept everyone for who they are (and you all tolerate my incessant bouts of craziness.) Thank you, and I love you guys so much.

Avec l'Expression IV: In Jubilation

26th November was an awesome day. TP Band had its concert. I had a blast and I'm sure the rest of the members did too. It was an amazing yet tiring experience planning this whole thing with my comm members and I think we all did a great job! Well, apart from me missing my cue to go up to give flowers to Mr Tan (oops) and the clearing up of the audi and all the shit, the whole concert went pretty well and I think I have never ever enjoyed a concert as much as I have had for this one.

This concert made me realise why I loved band so much - I absolutely love performing. Whether it is playing an instrument, singing or whatever, what I really love showing people what I like to do. And band, in this case, has provided me with so many opportunities and I thank my mum for asking me to join band lol. Though I reckon I will not continue after Poly :/ I need more time with my guitar!

The night was a truly memorable one as I had the best supporters I could ever have! My CMM friends were mad (in a good way). Mad props to Keith for shouting all the way and for coming on stage to pass me the flowers which was unbearably embarrassing hahaha. Thank you to Stef, Rach, Brenda, Deanna and Jon who were present too! This was the first time that non-band peepz came for any of my band concerts and tbh I was kinda touched hahah cuz I fall asleep in band concerts that I attend but when y'all decided to go for it I was really happy. Truly the best friends I've ever had! Also, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Brian, Haziq and Jet who came without telling me! Awesomeee guys! :)

Had a great time with the TP Band peepz too, especially my section mates! Glory glory horns! I love how that whichever French horn section I am/was in, we are always one of the most bonded sections. I love how y'all feel obliged to entertain me when I do stupid things. Our A Capella sessions in the piano room will forever be missed! Best instrument in the band, right? :)

French Horns ft. Charlie

To the rest of my band mates who in one way or another have tolerated my nonsense and crazy antics, and who I played ball with, thank you very much. You all have definitely made my life in band most interesting. Heheh.

Thank you our conductor, Mr Tan, for always being there for us. You are just like a dad who we look up to. Your years of experience have definitely enriched us. Your patience was also important to us and thank you for tolerating all our nonsense too.

The last group of people whom I wanna thank is none other than my main committee - Jeyanthi, Ian, Elsie, Sweehan, Mark, Hordin and Kevin! There were many problems in the midst of preparing for the big day but we managed to overcome everything and present a decent concert to everyone who was present! The turnout was not as bad as we expected! Much credit to Sweehan and Hordin who did the most work for this concert!

It was a great night. And I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world - the experience, the performing, the camaraderie, and most importantly, the people.

Time Really Flies

Okay the fact that concert day is here hasn't fully dawned on me yet. It feels like it is next month or something. But okay I just got a little excited about it and I hope that we will not be playing to a half empty hall.

On a lighter note, I finished all the assignments due this week, including my RadioPro Assignment, which took me only an hour :) Thank you to Rach for helping me with the voice-over! It was fun voicing for your work! *cue Titanic music*
Multi-Cam assignment was hell and I'm really glad I finished it too. I probably should sleep soon to make up for my lack of sleep!

Okay Mich don't panic on stage or fall down you will do fine. Fighting!

Breakdown.

The beginning of my Sunday was really great although I had to wake up at 8am.

The end of my Sunday was just fucked up. That's what happens when you put annoying parents, a fucking annoying brother who can't take his hands off your face (or to himself) for god knows what reason, a bunch of irresponsible people who keep giving you problems together.

I'm getting sick and tired of something that I have been involved in for eleven years. No prizes for guessing what. I'm quite positive that I wouldn't have become like that if I was just still an ordinary member with minimal responsibilities. I don't even know why I was elated on getting that post. Everything's like screwed now srsly and I don't wanna continue anymore.

And seriously, mum, when I'm obviously upset, can you not ask stupid questions like 'Can you not show that face?' Wtf I am just like any other teenager who needs attention and care and concern from her mum and instead of asking what's wrong, you ask a fucking stupid question like that.

And now there's that ass of a brother who follows me around like a leech, who does not know how to make his own decisions, who comes to me to ask for help about every single minor thing, who disturbs me at the wrong times and who is a fucking liar. You really need to learn how to admit your mistakes, make your own freaking decisions and most of all, LEARN HOW TO SAY 'SORRY'. You are such an idiot and you really piss me off seriously.

And sigh I hate it when I have no one to rant to cause everyone is busy with their own things :/ I need someone's shoulder to cry on real bad currently.

Lastly, fuck my life.

Suicidal thoughts.

ENOUGH

I'm gonna try to refrain from using vulgarities.

Seriously, I've had enough with you. How can anyone be so narrow-minded and insensitive? I have been putting up with you but you never annoyed me as badly as today. Just three sentences from you and I swear I could have shouted at you. Was my expression not obvious enough? I was already feeling bad and you had to rub it in. I really wanted to strangle you but I did not want to dirty my hands.

I don't think I've ever been this angry since Poly started. Sorry to everyone who had to see it. :/

The next time you ever talk to me, you'd better watch your words. The next time I get angry at you, I'm gonna blow, and I will not care how many people are around me at that time.

Not joking.

Sowoneul Malhaebwa

My wish right now is to go back to the 23rd of Oct, at Singapore Expo Hall 2, alongside Rach watching all 44 K-Pop artistes in front of me performing on the stage.

Blue and SHINee and pink for SNSD

F.T. Island!!

Saturday was truly memorable, since I was able to see two of my favourite K-Pop bands, F.T. Island and SHINee. I was really excited and I simply couldn't believe how time had passed so fast. It seemed just awhile ago when I was accompanying Rach to get her number tag to buy tickets. I never thought of going to the concert at all seeing that I wasn't really into that genre of music at that time. An unexpected turn of events led to an extra ticket and so I decided, why not just go. I love concerts anyway. So yes, I started brushing up on my K-Pop knowledge and listening to more K-Pop songs. My Korean song playlist grew from just below 10 to about 300 now - still not a lot, but sufficient. I started listening SHINee first and then Rach introduced me to F.T. Island's Barae and that was when I really started listening to many more groups like C.N. Blue, Big Bang, TRAX, 2AM, 2NE1 and Girls' Generation. And I really like them! Of course, I must mention Stef for being an awesome teacher in face recognition too!

I didn't really listen to the songs of the other groups who performed like ZE:A, Infinite and The Boss prior to the concert but I realised I kinda liked their songs when they performed them.

Anyway, F.T. Island opened the concert with Bing Bing Bing. And the best part was, they were not freaking handsyncing like they do in MuBank or MuCore. Ohmygod imagine my elation when Minhwan gave preparatory beats on the drums. The sound of an awesome live rock band is pure eargasm. Jonghun was damn awesome with his guitar solos although they could have been louder. Hongki's powerhouse vocals absolutely didn't disappoint but no thanks to the lousy sound system which couldn't take it.

And they totally hyped up the atmosphere with Barae. I screamed like a freak when the intro of the song came on. Minhwan was so hot lol. My favourite K-Pop jam FOREVA okay. Jaejin and Seunghyun were so cute! (Anyway the 'OI' in my fancam was for the stupid person in front blocking and sorry about my screaming when the song started)

Then they performed Sarang Sarang Sarang which was amazing live. Loved Seunghyun's part.

Flower Rock was up next and it got everyone grooving to its heavy rock beat. I was kinda sad that it was their last song and they had to leave the stage. :(

The acts were followed by The Boss (A Bright World, StumbleStumble, and Admiring Boy), ZE:A and Infinite. ZE:A's Malzetov got us singing along (FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY), followed by All Day Long and Bad Talk Sad. The Boss and Infinite were not bad as well. And I thought Infinite were really synchronised in their dancing and She's Back, Wings and Come Back Again are really catchy songs! My current jams! Wasn't really paying that much attention to The Boss though. Sorry :S

Then out came SHINee! The boys didn't disappoint - even without Jonghyun and with some mistakes here and there, but who cares! :) They started off with Replay Boom Track (MY FAVOURITE SONG FROM THEM!!) and I was totally hyped up when I found out that they weren't lip syncing Jonghyun's part. And when Taemin sang Jonghyun's part at the beginning... :') I swear HE WAS DAMN GOOD. Feel like a proud mother. And Key is freakin' flawless. But umm, Taemin's hair.. *shakes head*

!!! HOT MINHO AT 1:42 !!!

Then they sang Ring Ding Dong and Onew screwed up his first part LOL. He sang the wrong lyrics and he suddenly stopped and looked down. Taemin helped him with one word and Onew suddenly looked up and sang damn loudly, "MY LADY!~" Lee Jinki why are you so funny. Haha more spazzing about Taemin with Rach continued.

Lucifer was up next and I was really happy cuz this was the song that officially brought me into K-Pop! And TAEMIN'S LONG HIGH NOTE OMGOMGOMGGG IT IS FREAKING EPIC. But Minho didn't do his piga nanda trademark thingy though. Whyyyy Minho :( His rap was (Y) though! Oh I did the fanchant for that too! :D LEE JINKI, KIM JONGHYUN, KIM KIBUM, CHOI MINHO, LEE TAEMIN, SHINEE, LUCIFER!

They sang Hello too! I think we were very lucky that they performed that, seeing that they released it not too long ago! I love the song! But no couple dance that day! Amazing performance nonetheless!

Next up was the act that most of the fanboys were waiting for - SNSD! The nine pretty girls rocked the stage and brought atmosphere to an all new high. Cheering from the guys could be heard and truth be told, it is kinda freaky lol ._. They performed Genie, Oh, Run Devil Run and Gee! All their hit songs. I wanted to do the fanchants but no one around me was doing and I felt like a retard chanting on my own so I didn't continue. They were not prefect in their singing but their performance was really awesome. Taeyeon was awesome though! She hit all her high notes! And during Gee, Rach and I totally stopped taking videos and pictures to simply just embrace the moment. During the last chorus, we both sang Taeyeon's super high part and we got weird envious stares from the people in front of us. Take that you fat girl who keeps blocking our view!! SARANGHAEYO SONYUHSHIDAE!

Lastly, the moment all the VIPs have been waiting for - Big Bang's performance! They were damn good live but it was quite sad for me because I was not very familiar with their songs (I still am). But hey at least I knew a few! Teehee.
They started off with Gara Gara Go but I have no idea what that song was. All I remember was everyone around me screaming ._. Then they sang Number 1! THEN OMG THEY SANG HARU HARU acoustic version I LOVE THAT SONG IT IS MY FAVE ONE FROM THEM! Starting singing along and calmed down abit hahahaha. Then it was Lies omg love that song too. "I'M SO SORRY BUT I LOVE YOU!~". Last Farewell, How Gee and Hands Up totally brought the house down Big Bang ended their performance with a bang (no pun intended), aided with pyrotechnics. Awesome way to end the 23rd October.

I wished it lasted longer though. Too short for me. During the 'credits' they came out with the song 'We Are The World' - the newer version LOL a bit weird! Justin Bieber started off the song wth! But uh well I thought that the artistes could have sung a song together, which would have been better but seeing their short rehearsal time especially SNSD, that's not really possible.

Overall, the night was really enjoyable but I wished everyone would have sat down because their heads are so damn irritating while blocking my fancams!! But okay fine it is a concert after all; everyone is bound to get high. BUT STUPID FAT GIRL. Argh.

Will continue attaching fancams once they are uploaded. By the way, all pictures and videos here are taken by Rach and I. :)

Just a last picture to end this post:

♥!
