HAPPY BIRTHDAY, J.K. Rowling! And Harry Potter, too!

This post is dedicated to a most awesome author, J. K. Rowling and her ingenious Harry Potter series, my favourite books of all time.

Definitely my favourite movies of all time. The thought that this series is gonna end next year makes me really depressed. :( Every instalment never disappoints me and even the books keep me captivated all the time.

No words can explain how much colour Harry Potter has brought into my life. Let's just say that no other movies can ever, ever replace these fantasy films.

Truly, I love Harry Potter and may God bless J. K. Rowling. Thank you for bringing this into our generation's lives. What a living changing moment for everyone when 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' was published on 30th June, 1997. Thank you, also, to Chris Colombus for directing this film, which came out in November 2001.

Thank you to the cast which stayed the same for nine years now, coming to ten. I'd bet if I saw Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson or Rupert Grint, I'd probably say, 'Oh god that's Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley!'

AVADA KEDAVRA!

Today was a fairytale..NOT!

So basically my day went like that:

Met Rachel at Dhoby Ghuat cuz I needed to sign my YOG contract. Thanks for accompanying me Rach!! Love ya!

Had Singcam quiz and it sucked to the max. Seriously shouldn't have even bothered studying. Should have spent my night doing Film Term Paper and BMR. UGH.

Then had AudioPro where we finished the music and sound effects! AWESOME JOB GUYS! =)

6 more hours to finish our video and I'm sure the final product will be a shitload of awesomeness!

Okay here comes the last part of my day which was no less than hell. I fucking missed a step on the staircase of the overhead bridge at the school's bus stop. Fell on my knees and stood up immediately. I don't think anyone saw me fall :P Anyway not the point. My ankle hurt so bad I really wanted to shout, yeah but I clenched my fist and resisted it instead ._. Then the pain got so unbearable that I became damn dizzy and I think I almost fainted. WTHECK SIA. Seriously. Hobbled to find a seat at the bus stop but I kept bumping into one person HAHA I THINK SHE THINKS I WAS DRUNK SIA LOL.

Yeah then I sat down and was sweating like crazy and my whole body was trembling.

I SWEAR, THAT WAS THE MOST EXCRUCIATING PAIN I HAVE EVER FELT.

Second time I have gotten a sprain (the first time was in primary 4 I think and it was damn minor). This one is like, UGH (no words to describe). Yeah and now my foot is swollen :/

I seriously wished my friends were there. :(

Okay gonna see doc soon and continue my assignments. Can't wait for this week to end.

I Wanna See This Through

National Band Competition with TP Band (Gold With Honours) and Singapore International Band Festival with TK Band (Silver) officially over. Both competitions reached my targets and I'm really glad :) But yeah, seriously, time to take a break from band and focus on my academic side already. I am really looking forward for everything to be over and have holidays soon.

Looking forward to the TNS CDS too! :D Stef Rach Mel Brenda Jean Jon SL let's HAVOC, GUYS. Form our dance group and wheeee!~

Sing a Song For Singapore

Okay! So this blog post will be some music post. New songs, I suppose?

First, Singapore National Day Parade 2010 Theme Song: Sing a Song for Singapore by Corrinne May.

Corrinne May is an awesome singer. In my opinion, the song should have let her show off her vocal range more? Haha. The song seems too easy ah. Or maybe it is their intention to let Singaporeans sing along to it easily. But on second thought, the lyrics are not very easy to remember either. The song didn't really grow on me, I guess I have to listen to it a few more times. But well, seriously, the song is not bad! :D

I miss those old catchy NDP songs.

And they should compose more songs like 'Home' and 'We Will Get There'. I really love those songs and never get tired of listening/singing along to them!

Anyway, I give this year's NDP theme song a 7/10 rating I guess. Lol. I don't like how they are making NDP theme songs sound so commercialized.

Secondly, an album: Stuck on Repeat by Stereo Skyline!

The whole album is so catchy! The first song in the album, Heartbeat is really awesome and fun to sing to. The following songs complete the album and I really like the flow. The lead singer's voice is so nice too x)

Again, it is another pop rock album, like The Maine. Haha. Tongue Tied (not to be confused with Faber Drive's) is their first single of this album and it is really nice! I LOVE IT!

Oh, the best thing is that there is enough eye candy to go around for fans of this band cuz the members are all relatively cute! I mean, usually bands will have one or a couple of not-so-cute members but all of the members here are cute! x) Okay 'nuff spazzing! Moving on..

SHINee's new music video, Lucifer!

(I typed about this cuz Rachel asked me to :P)

Whatttt? Lucifer means devil, something to do with Satan lol. I don't think the song has anything to do with that though, does it?

But in Spanish, it means the light wth?!

Anyway, personally I think the video is kinda cool! I like it. But I don't understand why Taemin is wearing black when the others wear white. I like his red pants, though.

Okay don't even get me started on the hairstyles. Jonghyun's hair is the nicest in there in my opinion. Taemin's hair is damn chio. Onew's centre parting is ROFL but it is nice when it is pushed up. Minho's hair makes people depressed and Key's hair is actually quite cool to me :P

Basically I can't really comment anything cuz I don't understand Korean. ._.

Loverholic robotronic, loverholic robotronic. Lol whudd? Okay la like apparently many K-Pop songs have some weird English words to cater to those non-Korean speaking fans :P

Whee!~ Never had so much fun in a while! Was supposed to watch Inception with Melodi, SL and Jon but there were no more seats available!

I think I spent alot on MRT fare today ._. When to SCAPE but couldn't get SL's new guitar there and omg Cineleisure's top floor was packed with JJ Lin fans cuz it was his shop's opening! Saw Quan Yifeng and Dasmond Koh too. They were scouting for people to join 才华横溢出新秀 I think.

Anyway, went to get followed the Ang-sty boy to Peninsula Plaza where I was their witness for registering his and his second wife's marriage. At the same time, tried my Takamine guitar OMG I WANT IT SO MUCH. IT IS SO PRETTY! And its price is reasonable. S$265. HEHE. I love glossy guitars too and this one is! Tyler Ward, my favourite Youtube artiste uses something like that too! ^^

G440C (aka Ramos), here I come! After 19th March 2011, that is. I want to remain faithful for at least a year :B

Uh huh, so after that went to eat awesome chicken rice at Dhoby Xchange (ohno I'm hungry again) and then, we went to play LAN! Left4Dead 2. FREAKING FUN. Awesome way to destress I seriously don't mind playing again :D

Ohyea, SingFest is coming up and I really want to go for the Pop one (KATY PERRY, ORIANTHI, TOKIO HOTEL AHHHH) but the tickets are so freakin' expensive! >:O Darn it. Uh well, it is a sign to start saving money for the many many things that I wanna buy!

AND OH, MY SPAIN JERSEY IS WITHIN REACH! WHEEE!~

Anyway, I'm like super hyped up for VTCDS! Hopefully, all of us can stay in the same apartment and then we will sneak out every night >:) and spam Pokemon and Digimon series! HAHAHA I'm getting high.

This weekend is gonna be hectic. There is TKBand Homecoming tomorrow and I think I'm performing? LOL WTHECK SIA. And on Sunday, we are going to the zoo to film!...Film a lion. ._. And after that we are so gonna make our money's worth! LOL.

And I hate the increase in bus concession prices. Tsk.

BEST SPEECH EVER. PERIOD.

This is the best freakin' speech ever. I don't care if it is in Spanish! To me, it is awesome beyond words. First ever speech to give me goosebumps.

Searching For A New Life Now

My post in numerical format, not that it helps much but I don't care:

1. Sunburnt >:( On the left half of my body. What the shit man. My face is like, half red. ._. LOBSTER. And it kinda hurts :( Got it cuz of filming at Changi Beach. Good experience, and we got things done, not forgetting to mention that we have a great cast! :)

2. Spain won the World Cup 2010. Of course I'm happy. But not exhilarated. They didn't really win in a convincing manner. What's more, the whole match was ruined by the stupid orange highlighters going around fouling people. From Nigel De Jong's kick to Xabi Alonso's chest (My heart ached, hope he gets well soon), to three Spanish players going down in the penalty box but no foul, to David Villa's bad form, to Torres' and Fabregas' late substitutions, I WAS SUPER PISSED, not to mention, disgusted at the match. What kind of WC Finals is this?! Fabregas did super well and he should have been on the pitch earlier. Iker Casillas did super well too. He is like, totally Spain's hero. I see why people call him Saint Iker now. His amazing goalkeeping skills prevented so many shots from the annoying oranges from getting into the net. Iniesta's moment of brilliance came only at the 116th minute, but it was better than nothing. Sergio Ramos was on a roll too, but his shots all prevented by the goalkeeper. Yeah, and he is at the top of the Castrol Index now, which is a rating for the performance of players through the World Cup (9.79/10) TEEHEE, followed by Puyol and Casillas. Yeah, but, once again, I really expected more from this match :/ uh well, picture spam! :D

3. Despicable Me is a super awesome movie! Agnes is definitely my favourite character. The film didn't disappoint me at all and it totally kept me entertained throughout. All the characters were so carefully thought of, from the main character, Gru, to the minions, everything was just perfect! The soundtrack is so cool too! STEVE FARRELL is awesome! The show kept me laughing, though I did cry at the part where Margo, Edith and Agnes gave Gru their money. It is definitely a must watch, and it doesn't matter if you are a child, teen or adult! ^^

4. Just got the new album from The Maine today which is entitled 'Black & White'. Ahh shit the songs are all damn nice! Totally replaying the album again and again. And the album just came out today ^^ How cool is that?

Waka Waka!

Finally back to blogging regularly, I hope.

Lemme summarise my current life in a few sentences:

I am having BMR Lecture now and I don't understand a shit.

I am excited and nervous for the Spain/Germany match.

I just found out that Paul the octopus predicted Spain to win (Not sure if it is confirmed though)

I am going to buy my Spain jersey soon.

I haven't started on film journals.

I am nervous for National Band Competition which is on Saturday.

Sergio Ramos is my new obsession. :)

Hopefully Spain can be like this after the World Cup. My life is gonna revolve around Spain these next few days.
