let us travel through time

I realised that I have alot of songs in my iTunes but I have never ever listen to some of them cuz I just plonk the album and listen to the singles but now that I'm listening to the whole album of Story of the Year I think I should listen to all my other albums like those by Stereophonics and Ballas Hough Band. Lol.

The Constant by Story of the Year; I downloaded it cuz Andrew Stricko, the drummer of Faber Drive said it was a great album. Indeed it is. Their genre of music is hard rock and rock. Like Red Jumpsuit Apparatus'. A little bit of screaming in a few songs. Just a little, except for Won Over You, which is mostly screamo. Holding On To You is nice :D Probably my favourite song in the album. The lead singers' voice is so typical guy band voice. I like. Sounds like Travis Clark's (We The Kings) voice.

Sigh this is one of the genres of songs that girls' cannot really sing as well as guys. Lol. But suckerrrr I like it.

Anyway probably not performing for MediaBiz anymore. Lol as I posted on twitter: "I will never perform if I ain't prepared."
Sighh I know I will regret my decision, but I'd rather give it a miss than embarrass myself by zaoxia-ing omg. Horror of all horrors. I think its okay if a singer forgets lyrics and sings like out of intonation but if he/she zaoxias it is the freaking worst thing. That's why I'm always damn scared to sing songs with high notes in front of my friends and I only practise high notes in the bathroom. Just like Siobhan Magnus. She said that she learnt how to belt while signing Kelly Clarkson's songs in the bathroom so I hope I can achieve belting one day by doing the same.

Wishful thinking. BLAH.

I still have lots of stuff to do before I die. Probably one of the things I will manage to do first is to learn to play guitar and sing at the same time flawlessly. That will be next year or something sadly.

Still building up my guitar pick collection. Favourite one is still Paul's one like duh, followed by the green pick with the peace sign and then the "Twist" sign on the white guitar pick. Maybe I will put up pics of the picks one day woo.

Went to Orchard for SCAPE today ah. Journalism thing that we were forced to go for. Before that met with some peepz then went to walk around Cineleisure and Heeren and I was (still) obsessed about red black and white. Lol everyone was like asking me to stop and get new colours heheheheh. But I like leh how?! :P
The course was quite interesting, but I couldn't keep my focus uh and being so restless all the time, me and Bryan started talking then Rach said we were noisy oops! x) And YESSS there will be refreshments tmr. FREE FOOD. *slurps*
And I wanna go to the SCAPE building once its opened. Damn cool omg there is a freaking recording studio and jamming studio ahhhh omgomgomg.
Went to Ion for dinner and bought Tori Q set. I LIKE. :D AND I ATE MY CHICKEN STICKS AGAIN WOOO YEAHHH. And I was freaking high today dunno why. I kept doing stupid stuff (like I always do) then Stef said I should've joined danced cuz I always do those weird body waves shits and blahblahs.

Hope that it'll be more exciting tmr hahahah.

They Don't Really Care About Me

I just spammed music videos of Faber Drive and Boys Like Girls on Youtube. And I just realised there are really alot of awesome concerts this year but I can't go to all of them sighh. I'm going to miss Paramore's one which is tonight and then I think I will have no chance to go to Adam Lambert's concert too.. At least I'm going for S.H.E's one on 17th April! I'm looking forward to it so much omg!

Here are the concerts of artistes I wanna go for:

Yeah no Chinese artistes. Weird. Because I started listening to Chinese songs way before I started listening to English songs!

SO, I must started saving money if case these artistes come (back)!!
Work comes in handy here.
Lol I promised to treat people to stuff. Better not promise too many people!

Sighh but I was quite pissed yesterday night. How can anyone be so slow and not take a hint?! And you made me even more pissed by saying some stupid line that wasn't necessary wtheck.

I'll just not say anything else, for now..

American Idol Season 9: Episode 19 (The Girls)

After the guys' performance yesterday, I was looking forward to the girls' performance. And I see Crystal Bowersox on the show. Glad to see her back in good health. :)

Crystal Bowersox - Long As I Can See The Light (Creedence Clearwater Revival)
Damn she seriously rocks. Awesome song choice. She's there with her guitar again which she is so comfortable with. And yeah they are comparing to Kelly Clarkson. Hard to believe she was just lying in the hospital bed before this performance. Great start to the episode.

Haeley Vaughn - The Climb (Miley Cyrus)
Yay she is not wearing a tutu. I hated her rendition of my favourite Miley song. Pitchy to the max. I don't like her voice personally, too husky for me. Apparently Simon feels that she should go home next. Me too.

Lacey Brown - Kiss Me (Sixpence None the Richer)
Weird first note. But it got better towards the end. It wasn't awesome, but it was a good attempt. It fits her, Kara was quite right. Better than last week's performance. Ouch Simon compared her to Crystal, ouch. And I like her hair.

Katie Stevens - Put Your Records On (Corinne Bailey Rae)
A really comfortable performance for me. I liked it. But did she almost crack at the high note? An okay performance, not fantastic, but I liked it. And what's with Ryan Seacrest and Justin Bieber LOL. She didn't seem impressed with that HAHA, like Aaron Kelly.

Didi Benami - Lean On Me (Bill Withers)
Yeah Didi is up! But omg what' with the first verse? Out of tune! And shit she sang it like the notes were way too high. A soul song like that shouldn't go that high? Disappointed in the performance. She was disappointed too, almost crying. Poor thing. But still one of my favourites in this season.

Michelle Delamor - With Arms Wide Open (Creed)
I think she did fine. But kind of weird that she was singing a rock song at first but to be honest, I liked it. I don't know why it didn't work out for Randy. If she's gonna continue to sing these kind of songs I want her to stay.

Lilly Scott - A Change Is Gonna Come (Sam Cooke)
It was great! A little weak on the low notes but I liked it! I loved how she was so engrossed in the song and she totally nailed it! My favourite performance of the night so far.

Katelyn Epperly - The Scientist (Coldplay)
Ohhh one of my favourite Coldplay songs. I thought it was a little slow, didn't put me to sleep though. Good singing chops. I just love people who can play the piano and sing at the same time. And people who can play guitar. Lol.

Paige Miles - Walk Away (Kelly Clarkson)
I totally wow-ed at the high notes. And I love it when people are enjoying themselves on stage. Her personality is cool LOL. I liked it. She nailed it!

Siobhan Magnus - Think (Aretha Franklin)
Oh shit that note. Omg omg. That was so awesome! I loved that performance and it was my favourite performance so far in the season! And I agree with Kara, I can't get over that note. Officially my favourite female contestant in Season 9!

Strong opening, strong finish. Love how the producers lined them up. Haha. This episode didn't disappoint me, except for Didi I guess. Now this really shows that a girl deserves to win this season. But no worries about that, its not Singapore, where you'll get three guys in a row. *rolls eyes* And oh, bye Haeley! Please.

Starting my job tomorrow! Wish me all the best. Vivo's chicken sticks ftw! \m/!

American Idol Season 9: Episode 18 (The Guys)

Okay I was really bored. Being a critic is fun. Reminds me of that day at Eudora's house where we criticized everyone LOL.

Michael Lynch - This Is A Man's World (James Brown)
Okay I've never heard this song before. I think he did okay, but not as fantastic as how the judges described it? I liked the last long note though. It was quite strong.

John Park - Gravity (John Mayer)
Darn the performance was so ordinary. He sung it so boring-ly (lol wtf). But credits to him though, it was better than last week. Halfway through the song he was kind of weak, I thought. In a nutshell, boring.

Casey James - I Don't Wanna Be (Gavin Degraw)
Yeah my favourite male contestant is up! Nice blue guitar and guitar solo at the beginning. But a little bit off when he started singing. Started getting better toward the middle. I loved the shredding at the end. The song suits him, could be a lead guitarist for a band, but probably not lead singer. And omg Kara is disappointed. So uncalled for LOL. What's with the 'dirt' comment?!

Alex Lambert - Everybody Knows (John Legends)
Ugh out of tune everywhere. Well he looks more comfortable. And better than last week. And shit the last note turned me off. It was so damn flat. But he does have a nice voice. Kudos to the improvement anyway.

Todrick Hall - What's Love Got To Do With It (Tina Turner)
He totally butchered the song omg. I totally hated his high notes. But the last note was okaaay. The song seriously wasn't suited for him. Improvisation is good but not too much. He should totally go back to his dance songs with his fancy dance moves.

Jermaine Sellers - What's Going On (Marvin Gaye)
He was doing too much yet again. Pushing those shrieky notes and the performance overall made me really uncomfortable. He couldn't pitch the notes at all. And his face...That's what I call self-indulgent. So arrogant and yeah let God decide whether you'll still be in next week. I'll pray to him that he fails you.

Andrew Garcia - You Give Me Something (James Morrison)
Kind of pitchy at the high notes. But much better than those who performed before him. But a mediocre performance for his standard. Disappointing performance yet again by the guy with a lot of potential.

Aaron Kelly - My Girl (The Temptations)
I thought it was quite a good performance omg. But I didn't like his last note. Haha he still reminds me of Aaron Carter. As the same as everyone he was better than last week. He seemed more comfortable and at ease. And lol at Ryan Seacrest's "Do you like Justin Bieber?"

Tim Urban - Come On Get Higher (Matt Nathanson)
I like his clear voice but he didn't put it to good use at all. The song choice was all right. And to agree with Randy, "it sounded very karaoke". Improvement from last week like all the rest yet again, if its any consolation. Much more room for improvement and he looks cute. LOL.

Lee Dewyze - Lips Of An Angel (Hinder)
Woo I love this song. No guitar this time. And crippled. The first verse was awkward and uncomfortable. It got better towards the chorus. Quite a good song choice for him. Needs more confidence. He looks scared always LOL.

Today's episode was boring, looking forward to the girls' performances. Hope Crystal Bowersox will still be in top form and playing her harmonica again. Looking forward to Didi Benami and the person who performed before her last week whose name I forgot. One more thing: I just hope Haeley Vaughn won't be wearing a tutu again.
