Speak Now World Tour - Singapore

It was really magical and it felt so surreal. Finally, after 2 months of purchasing the tickets to this show, I saw Taylor Swift in front of me.

With 2 DSLRs, 1 camcorder and 2 back-up digital cameras, Mel, Jon and I were fully equipped and amped up for the concert! And we had no idea that we would be so freaking close!

Sezairi was the opening act and I think he did quite a great job in pumping up the crowd. But of course, everyone was waiting for the star of the night, Taylor Swift!!

Took some decent videos of her performances, while Jon and Mel took really nice pictures too! Will post the pics here when I get 'em! But for now, videos!~

Did not take vids of all the songs though. I needed to have fun jumping for a few songs or I wouldn't have been able to enjoy myself as much!

And for those who want to know what songs she played, or want to recap, here it is. The setlist for tour dates in U.S. will be different though, from what I heard.

Technically she only played 13 songs though. You're Not Sorry was a medley along with Back to December/Apologize. Not hard to understand why it is THIRTEEN. She really loves that number, eh?

Yup and that's Mel showing off her '13' tattoo that she drew! And yes lol we were Vlogging while waiting for Taylor but I suppose it will be wiser not to post it. It is kind of embarrassing.

When the opening title played after Willow Smith's Whip My Hair blasted through the speakers, everyone (around my area, at least), was brought up to their feet to catch their first glimpse of the four time Grammy award winner.

The introduction of Sparks Fly come on and with the words, "DROP EVERYTHING NOW", the curtain separating the gorgeous girl and us came down. She danced throughout the whole song, complete with bimbotic twisting of her hips. The whole stadium's level of excitement rose to a whole new level and after the performance of that song, she immediately transited into her first single from her Speak Now album, Mine.

She picked her red Gibson guitar which was so pretty!

Did not record this song (I should have) but I spent most of the time jumping to the song, especially the chorus and just singing at the top of my voice. Who cares about face at concerts?! "YOU ARE THE BEST THING THAT'S EVER BEEN MINE!"

The next song was The Story Of Us! Wasn't familiar with the lyrics but at least I could sing along to the chorus!

Next came my favourite song from her - Back to December. I was already bracing myself for a really touching performance when I saw a piano. As expected she started playing on the piano but she had some narration at the beginning.

"I've written songs about things like, burning my ex-boyfriends' pictures,
I've written songs about the times that I've been hurt by love,
But then one day I woke up and realised that have hurt him so badly.
And so I wrote this song,
To tell him I'm sorry.."

*cue piano intro* and the whole stadium sings along with her, and feel her emotions as she starts tearing up, and it brought tears to mine, too. She then remixed it with Apologize and You're Not Sorry and it sounded so much better than the one she did during the American Music Awards.

That one was for you, Taylor Lautner.

And after that ballad, it was something louder; Better Than Revenge, the song that Mel was looking forward to the most. I loved the 'chereography' hahaha. Went for a costume change and she emerged in a really cute blue dress with a choreographed Speak Now. She reminded me of a milkmaid though, lol.

And she did something that drove everyone mad: she walked through the crowd, to the back of the stadium where there was a mini stage, where she introduced her ukulele and played a Fearless/I'm Yours mash-up, which of course got the whole stadium singing happily along. She sang Fifteen next! Was really enjoying the very laid-back tunes.

And when her hit, You Belong With Me played, it was time for her to go back to the main stage, which I was really happy about! There was even one part of the song where she asked us to sing while she kept quiet! Hearing the whole stadium sing in unison was just so awesome! The footage on the giant screen was really cute. It showed shots from the music video and also some behind the scenes!

There was another costume and this time she was wearing a gown which made her look so elegant and it was so relevant to sing Enchanted at that time.

So beautiful! Indeed enchanted to see her like that! Fans raised their huge fanboards once again (I feel sorry for the people behind them).

Long Live was dedicated to the fans. And yes, Taylor, you will definitely be remembered.

And of course, quite expectedly, she ended off with Fearless's lead single, Love Story. Looked like everyone still had a lot of energy left. After all, it was just a 90 minute concert. Not long enough to tire me out. I really loved how she just fell back after she bade farewell to us!

And that, was not the end of the wonderful night, for I got a little souvenir from the concert! Shan't elaborate on how I got it so TAADAA!~

This is definitely better than any of the tour merchandise being sold there (SGD$45 for one shirt omg what a scam) and that's yet another pick to my growing collection! ^^

Wanted to stalk her but looking at the number of people waiting for her outside the stadium, we kind of just gave up after a while of running everywhere. It was fun though!

This was definitely worth my whole $178 although it could have been longer! And it would have been perfect if she had sung Today Was A Fairytale, Our Song, Teardrops on My Guitar, White Horse and The Way I Loved You. But okay it is called the Speak Now Tour so I guess it is perfectly justified that most of the songs were from her new album.

Would like to thank Brenda for her camcorder, SL for his DSLR, Jon and Mel for the wonderful night, Stef's aunt for ferrying me around and Stef's mum for dinner. LOL I'm just stating this in case SL says that I didn't thank him.

Thank you to Taylor for the amazing performance. It was a near perfect concert and I feel really honoured to have been to this concert, which was the first stop for her Speak Now World Tour! Thank you to Taylor's band as well -Amos, Paul, Grant (OMG I love him hehehe), Al, Caitlin, Elizabeth and Mike!

Yup! So that is it for Taylor Swift's first stop for her tour! Will post most pictures soon!
